Standards and Guidance in a Rapidly Evolving Aviation World

The need for human resources planning across all areas of civil aviation is of utmost importance to maintain a critical safety-driven industry. As the air transport industry recovers from a global pandemic and attempts to re-establish a rapid growth rate, global and regional aviation training gaps will need to be filled with qualified aviation professionals, including pilots, skilled technicians, and competent air traffic controllers.

In the field of civil aviation training, we are currently faced with an abundance of information and it is critical to identify the appropriate intelligence to rapidly provide optimal aviation training solutions that meet the demands of this new aviation era and, at the same time, maintain or exceed safety requirements.

The key is to integrate the decision-useful information, known as intelligence, into training organizations in a coherent and functional way. More and more, civil aviation training centre managers are required to practice decision-making based on managing all available aviation Training Intelligenceā„¢.

Aviation Training Intelligenceā„¢ is generated within extremely dynamic environments. Training centre managers should manage it by establishing integrated digital systems to structure, organize, and generate reports that will allow their organizations to make intelligent business decisions.

This presentation will focus on the innovative training solutions that the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) can offer through its TRAINAIR PLUS Programme and implementation Packages (iPacks), available to its Member States and the airline industry to comply with ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) and support the evolving skills requirements of aviation professionals.
